Tottenham Hotspur have fired Thomas Frank following a string of poor results.
The 52-year-old Dane was appointed in the summer at the start of this season, but results have been abysmal, especially in the English Premier League.
“The Club has taken the decision to make a change in the Men’s Head Coach position and Thomas Frank will leave today,” Spurs said in an official statement on Wednesday.
“Thomas was appointed in June 2025, and we have been determined to give him the time and support needed to build for the future together.
“However, results and performances have led the Board to conclude that a change at this point in the season is necessary.
“Throughout his time at the Club, Thomas has conducted himself with unwavering commitment, giving everything in his efforts to move the Club forward.
“We would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him every success in the future.”
Under Frank, Spurs won only 13 of 38 matches in all competitions and lost 14.
Although Frank led the London club to advance into the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League, the club’s fortunes in the Premier League were poor.
He left the 2024/2025 UEFA Europa League winners 16th in the Premier League with just 29 points from 26 matches, with Tuesday night’s 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle apparently being the final straw.
